The people behind Soapbubble.dk
Martin Aggerbeck
Engineering student at the Technical University of Denmark and explainer at Experimentarium, the science centre in Copenhagen. Martin is the Soapbubble.dk expert of light and colors, and can explain the colours of soap films in detail. Martin is coordinator of the Soap Bubble Festival at Experimentarium which is a returning event every year. He has also been involved in development of the new soap bubble show, "The Universe of Soap Bubbles" which can be seen at Experimentarium. Internally Martin is known as our "Media Darling" because he has been explaining about soap bubbles numerous times in national television and radio.
Søren Elmer Kristensen
Project leader at The Academy of Technical Sciences. Søren has an education in biotechnology from Copenhagen University, and he is our guide in the land of molecules. When Søren was working at Experimentarium, the science centre in Copenhagen, he was famous for his bubble shows. Søren has from the start of Soapbubble.dk been our main driving force, and he is at the moment lobbying for extended focus on the science of soap bubbles through his position at The Academy.
Karl-Otto Markussen
Student of mathematics, music, and didactics at Copenhagen University and The Danish School of Education. Karl-Otto works as an explainer at Experimentarium where he often explains about shapes and the geometry of soap bubbles. Karl-Otto has many times been the instructor in performing soap bubble shows for explainers at Experimentarium and other science centers. He has also been involved in the development of the new soap bubble show "The Universe of Soap Bubbles" which can be seen at Experimentarium. In Soapbubble.dk Karl-Otto is the practical genius when we are designing and building new experimental setups.
Rasmus Olsen
Former explainer at Experimentarium, the science centre in Copenhagen. Rasmus is the photographer in Soapbubble.dk and he has made the best bubble photos at this website, and we’re always looking forward to present the soap bubble Christmas photo of the year. Take a look at our site in December to get into the Christmas mood.
Søren Bredmose Simonsen
Industrial PhD student at the catalyst company Haldor Topsøe and the Technical University of Denmark. With a background in physics, Søren is mostly interested in the physics of soap bubbles. He has written about this subject in different Medias. He has for example written the book “Få tjek på Sæbebobler” (It is only in Danish. The title can be translated into: Get to know your Soap Bubbles). Søren was initiator for The Soap Bubble Festival – a returning event each year at Experimentarium, the science centre in Copenhagen. He was coordinator of the festival the first two years. Søren has also been involved in development of the new soap bubble show "The Universe of Soap Bubbles" which can be seen at Experimentarium.
Anders Søndergaard
Sociology student at University of Copenhagen and explainer at Experimentarium, the science centre in Copenhagen. Anders is webmaster for Soapbubble.dk and is our technical expert. Beside this Anders is also coaching the rest of Soapbubble.dk in viewing soap bubbles in a social context with primary focus on sarcasm. Anders has many times saved our group from being total bubble maniacs, and because of him we are still able to view the subject with some irony.
